Cat boarding for Aveley owners
Aveley is just over the Thurrock border from us, and owners from Aveley, South Ockendon and Belhus often tell us they chose us because we are closer than catteries further into Essex. A quick drive along the A1306 means less time in the carrier for your cat.
Getting to us from Aveley
Our cattery at 54 Frederick Road, Rainham RM13 8NJ is about 4 miles from Aveley, around 10 minutes by car.
From Aveley village, head west to the A1306 and on to Rainham; the journey is around 10 minutes. From South Ockendon, use the B1335 or the A13 to the Wennington junction, then follow signs for Rainham. Traffic around Lakeside can build up on Saturdays, so we recommend morning drop-offs at weekends.
Caring for Aveley cats
Aveley and South Ockendon homes often back onto open countryside around Belhus Woods Country Park, so many of the cats we meet from here are keen hunters and explorers. We give them a secure, enriching space with Cat TV and garden views so they stay stimulated while you are away.
Close to Lakeside and the A13
If you live in Aveley or South Ockendon, we are handy for the A13 and the M25, so it is easy to drop your cat off on the way to Stansted, Southend or the Dartford Crossing for a ferry or Eurotunnel trip. Several of our Thurrock owners combine drop-off with a stop at Lakeside on the way home. For cats who have never boarded before, we suggest a short first stay of two or three nights so they get to know us before a longer holiday.
