Approximately 12 hours per week. We are looking for two members of staff.

Shifts Available:

We have 8:30am – 12:30pm available on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.
There is also a Saturday 11:00am – 5:00pm (one hour unpaid lunch break).

Overtime may be available on some weekdays and weekends during busy periods.

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated animal lover to join our team. This is a part time self
employed position. Your primary responsibilities include:

-Feeding and caring for our feline guests

-Confidently handling cats of all temperaments, including safely picking up
and placing cats into carriers

-Cleaning and maintaining the cattery environment to a very high standard

-Cleaning suites between guests and ensuring excellent hygiene at all times
(this role is physical and not suitable for someone with back issues)

-Providing enrichment and playtime for our feline guests

-Monitoring the health and wellbeing of cats and reporting any concerns to
the manager/owner

-Maintaining detailed records of each cat’s care

-Assisting with customer enquiries and bookings in person and over the
phone

-Checking cats in/out using our computer booking system

-Washing, drying and grooming cats when required

-Occasionally assisting with the care of other household pets/animals
(when required)

-Supporting general daily tasks to help the cattery run smoothly

Training will be given as necessary.

Requirements: 

-Passion for animals and their wellbeing

-Experience in an animal boarding facility is desired but not essential

-Strong attention to detail and cleanliness

-Good communication and customer service skills.

-Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

-An animal qualification is desired but not essential.

-Physically fit and able to bend up/down to clean rooms.

-Previous experience owning or caring for cats is preferred

-Having your own vehicle is a bonus
